What You Need To Transfer iTunes On Android
First, we’ll need the computer that you have iTunes on, and you’ll need to connect your phone or tablet to it. Once your device is hooked up, you’ll want to navigate to the folder where your music rests. You should see the name of your device in the sidebar of the file explorer. Click on it, and then click on your “Music” folder. From here, you’ll simply want to copy the music from your iTunes folder and window, and paste it in the “Music” folder of your device. What if you don’t have enough storage space on your device for all your music? Going even further, what if you want to access your music on more than one Android device? The answer is Google Play Music, which can store up to 50,000 songs for free. By visiting the Google Play Music website on the computer that has all your iTunes music, you can upload directly. Once you’re logged in, open the menu from the top left-hand side, and scroll down below the “Subscribe Now” button to select “Upload music”.
Once the upload process is complete, you’ll now be able to stream your music using the Play Music app. And, should you want to purchase new music, Google offers about the same selection as the competition. Another draw is its streaming service, which gives you access to over 35 million songs for $9.99 per month. Of course, not everyone wants to have to stream their music, especially when you’re dealing with a data cap. Like other music apps, Google Play Music allows you to download music for offline use. To download music offline, simply tap the dotted icon next to any playlists, album, or individual song, and then “Download”. You can also tap on the download icon inside of a playlist or album to store it on your device.
This means you won’t have to worry about using up your data when listening to your music. While there isn’t a much simpler way to transfer music from iTunes to Android for the time being, these two options are the best way to get up and running, or should we say listening.
