Turn On Network Discovery
To map a network disc on a Windows 10 computer, you must first activate network discovery. To accomplish this, launch Control Panel and then click “View Network Status and Tasks” inside the Network and Internet section. Next, click “Change Advanced Sharing Settings” in the left-hand pane.
On the next screen, click the bubble next to “Turn on Network Discovery” to select it.
After clicking “Save Changes,” network discovery is enabled.
A Network Drive Mapping
Having enabled network discovery, you may now map a network drive. After launching File Explorer, click “This PC” in the left pane.

Next, click “Map Network Drive” in the Network group of the Computer tab. The window Map Network Drive will display. In the text box adjacent to “Drive,” pick the desired drive letter. Input the path of the folder or computer in the “Folder” text box, or click “Browse” and select the device from the pop-up menu. You can also choose “Reconnect at Sign-in” if you want to reconnect each time you log in to your device. After this has been configured, click “Finish” and the network disc will be mapped on your device.
